What a great weekend! & I saw Twilight

Me and Jesse enjoying our kid free weekend together.
We decided to Celebrate our Anniversary by taking a trip. Without the kids! Yup finally. I hardly ever leave my kids overnight unless it is with Jesse. But since I have an awesome great friend that was willing to come and stay with my rug rats at my house we got a break. Thanks Heidi!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Hum.. seems like last time I left my kids for a trip with Jesse was when you stayed at my house and watched the older ones when Garyn was a baby. Seems with out you we would never get away. I hope you have recovered. They are a handful!
We went to Moab for the weekend and it was so nice. We left Thursday and got back Sunday. I can not even tell you how relaxing this was. I was asleep by 9 on Thursday night and didn't even crack an eye open till after at least 10am Friday. OH THE BLISS of a kid free, work free night of sleep. I SLEPT and SLEPT and SLEPT. All I wanted for my Anniversary was some sleep and that is just what I got. Thanks to my wonderful hubby! We ate out at some yummy restaurants and we shopped and shopped and we also went to the new bond movie.. snore... snore.. oh I mean it was good. It was like any other bond film. Just not my thing. Jesse thought is was ok, but not all that it was cracked up to be.
I finally talked Jesse into listening to Twilight. So we listened to it all the way down in the car listened to it a little while while playing on our computers at the hotel and listened to it all the way home. He finished it up on his way to and from work Monday and we went and saw the movie Monday night. We took Jaden with us to the movie, since he has read the books. We all really liked it. I was not happy with the casting of Edward until after I saw the movie. Now I think it was great casting. He did a great job! I didn't like Bella as well. She just wasn't my Bella. But I do have to say: What was with the Edward Scissors Hands faces Jasper was pulling. He looked to strange for the part to me. Over all though a pretty good movie considering what I was expecting. Still the book is better of course, if you haven't read it.. then go read it.

So it has been a great couple of days! Here some fun Picts from our trip to Moab.

Yes folks it appears that I may have married a leprechaun. LOL Anyone who knows us knows this is just the silly kind for stuff we do. I left the Port a Potty pictures off the blog. hehehe Or did you want to see the funny things he does when he sees a sign that says Prairie Dawg.

Jesse enjoying the view thinking about how nice it is not to have to be worrying about keeping kids away from the side. We decided that it is much easier to take in the sites with out the kids trying to jump off a cliff.

They wouldn't let me take nay pictures inside of the house in the rock. SO LAME! So I am just posting a picture of the stupid sign on the rock.

OK so yes we think these cheesy thing are funny. The box says "Baby Rattlers... open with caution"

And inside the box were baby rattles. tee hee hee Someone is funny. You have to admit it is kind of a cute little think to have at a tourist attraction.

I hearts my litle hubby man! It was so nice to spend time together and talk and reconnect with out the kids all up in our faces. It's been a pretty good 14 yrs. I look forward to many many many more.

My 14yr Anniversary! WOW

Yesterday was our 14 Year Anniversary. I can't believe it has already been 14 yrs. We haven't really done anything to celebrate yet, since Wed. is our everybody has something night. But I spent a lot of time yesterday just being grateful for my hubby and for the wonderful past 14 yrs. I am a very lucky girl.

I don't have all my wedding pictures unpacked yet. But I found a few that my wonderful Aunt Margo gave me. And since we don't have a scanner plugged in I just snapped a picture of the pictures. They look like crap but hey at least they are in the computer now so you can see them. Right?
Wow we look so young.. well we were he was 22 and I was 18. Wow what would I give to have that body back? Well 1st off I would have to give back 1/2 of the one that I have now. hehehehe! Of course I didn't love it when I had it but would now love to have it back. Funny how perspective works. ha-ha

And for kicks and giggles
here are pictures from my Wedding Day back in 1994!

Getting into the Christmas Spirit

Since the weather was great Saturday we decided to go ahead and start putting up the Christmas Lights. It scared me to death when Jesse was up on the ladder on the roof putting lights up the peak. UGH! But it was worth it they look so cute up there. I will have to take more picts when we finish and turn them on for the season. We don't turn them on until after Thanksgiving.
HAHAHA How is this for funny? I still have no yard.. just me dirt and weed patch but we will have the lights up and have it all decorated. LOL But hey after is snows you can't tell who has grass and who doesn't right?

Mantha had Birthday Parties Friday night and then Saturday Day when she got home on Sat. we were already putting up the lights. She is so excited. She wants us to turn the lights on now. LOL

I haven't felt really Christmas-y till this week and now I am really getting excited about it. I love the Christmas Season and am really making an effort to keep out Holiday center on Christ.

10 things I did this week Nov. 5th - 12th

Tuesday Scmusday... Let just skip to Thursday and call it a week. LOL

1. I finally got my card reader fixed so that I could upload my pictures. I have this stupid fettish about not being able to post unless I have pictures. I am demented and I know it.

2. I did activity days this week and it was boring but necessary. The girls just came over and practiced a song for the primary program which was on Sunday. Then this week are taking Thanksgiving baskets to the Widows in our ward.

3. I had a SUPER COOL AWESOME FUN Girls weekend road trip. Yep again! WOO HOO! I went down to my friend Amy's house from Thursday night till Sunday night. We stayed up late, shopped till we dropped, went to Scrapbook USA, Spent more money than I am worth, ate junk, made a mess of Amy's house, slept in till like noon everyday, and just over all hung out chatting and havign fun together!
These girls ROCK! I love my UT Scrapgirls!

I drove down with Heidi. We had fun just getting time to talk. There is just noghting like a good road trip with friends. It is theraputic.

We really make a mess when we scrapbook. Seems like we haul everything but the kitchen sink on these trips.

And eafter hauling every scrapbook item we can find.. I look up and here we all are on our laptops doing digital scrapbooking. LOL

Though you can rest assured even with all the digital scrapbooking going on we still made our fair share of a mess. Look at the path of destruction that we left in Amy's Kitchen. LOL

And proof that I did get at least some regular paper scrapping done.

The only group picture we got was out in Amy's Hot Tub, in her Fabulous yard! But Emma isn't in it. We never think to get everyone at once. Dang it!

4. While in St. Geroge we went out to eat together. Our service was not the best and we finally asked for our checks.... 20 mins later we have no clue what had happened to our waitress so we find someone else to help us. She ends up getting the manager and he ends up comping our meals and giving us a $50 Gift Card to use next time we all get together. I kinda feel guilty that he gave us so much free stuff. But I also felt a lot better that he went out of the way to make a bad experiance so much better. Yea, we will for sure be going back there again.
MaryLynn and Amy at dinner

MaryLynn's cute baby girl. We went all kid free this weekend but we let Jenna come but only because she is soooooo darn cute and little. LOL You have to admit she is a doll. And she's a pretty good baby too.

5. On our way out of town Heidi, Subrina, and I stopped to take some pictures with the Red Rocks. Needless to say we got a little silly. LOL

6. While I was gone Jesse and the Kids went to lunch with his sister. They met her at her house and then loaded into the cars to go to the resturaunt. All the kids jumped into the other cars and left Jesse as chopped liver. LOL So when he got to the resturaunt they were amazed to discover that Garyn was missing. OOPS! So Jesse jumps back in the car and runs back to find poor Garyn crying on the curb.

Poor kid was in the bathroom when they left and they all thought he was in a different car with someone else. But they got him and it was all soothed out over a nice meal. LOL He did learn a few things like next time don't go stand on the curb instead grab a phone and call dads cell phone. And just for the record I have never left one of the kids behind this only happens on dad's watch. hehehehe (knock on wood)

7. This week we brought over all of our Baby kittens that my mommy cat so nicely had at my mom and dads house. Garyn has been having a blast chasing them and catchign them and sneaking them into the house and hiding them in totes. UGH! I have to keep rescuing them. He has finally understood that putting them into containers to keep them in one spot isn't such a great idea since they can't breath but he still puts them in upside down laundry baskets. And he loves to see how many he can catch and hold at once.

8. The night I got back from my trip and was putting the kids to bed Jaden tell me "Oh yea, wake me up early I have to make a mummy mask." I am like ok what is that and he tells me it needs to be paper mache' and etc. I swear boys have no clue! Does he think I am an art supply store? Well Monday morning we made a Mummy Mask the best we could with what we had in my scrapbook room. And it actually turned out pretty good. What do ya think?

9. On Tuesday I woke up feeling like I truck ran over me. I worked but got off 2 hrs early so I went upstairs and slept for the 2 hrs. And when I woke up I was tired and sick. Sore achey body, etc. I was so stinking tired. But Grandpa to the rescue said that he would come over and take Will for a bit. Little did I know that he was going to end up with Garyn after school to and I slept from 9:30 am till 3:30 pm. The sleep was great but it still took me several long tired days to start to feel better. When Will heard me on the phone with Grandpa he was so excited he ran and got dressed and waited by the back door to hear the 4 wheeler comming. Here's a picute of him eating a pop tart and waiting... you can tell by the finger prints on the door that he goes here a lot. LOL

10. Wednesday I got to go to a Stamp Camp Card Class with Heidi. We made 8 cards and it was a blast. I haven't been to a stamp thing in years. I think I am going to start going once a month with her.

Today Sucked!

OK So today kinda sucked.. this is me venting or rather Blitching!

My new shift at work is 1:30am - 7:30 am .. I love it and hate it. I like that I am already up and going and can just log off and run upstairs and get the kids up for school. I like that I can go to bed early and get a solid block of sleep in before getting up to work. I hate the I go to bed early to get that solid block of sleep and miss out on time with Jesse. Oh well that's the joys for being able to work from home. We want our cake and eat it too.

Anyway so that last few nights I haven't gone to bed very early because I am a retard, and it has started taking it's toll on me. The stupid headaches start going etc. So last night my head was pounding and my ear and when I got off on the morning my head felt like a bomb waiting to go off. Then I notice that I am bleeding from the ear. UGH!!!!! I was supposed to Mother Help in Garyn's Class and instead ended up at the Dr.'s office... So, I have an ear infection. What the crap, am I a kid again? But hey at least I can take some antibiotics and move on.

Then to top it off I went from the Dr's to the Dentist where I had a damn crown put on. OUCH! My mouth hurts now, the head is still pounding, and my ear still hurts. Not a fun day!

And to top it off Obama won the election and I just want to cry about that. UGH!!!! Really I am not even sure why I feel so sad. I am kinds surprised by that. Sorry but here are my personal feelings (in a nut shell) in that one. I am all about getting some changes made in this country but not the way he wants to go about it. I am also so very proud of where we have come to as people FINALLY, Equality! I love that we had a women running for VP, and an African-American running as President. I love that this has really been history in the making. It is great to be a part of that.

But I just think that Obama is all smoke and mirrors and that what lies beneath the surface is not what we NEED right now in this country. I am all for change, but not change for the worst. I think so many people (not all by any means but many) didn't really vote FOR him but that they voted AGAINST Bush. which is not what it was all about. Anyway, on the upside I know that God has a plan and I just have to pray and strive to do the best that I can. And I hope that under that facade and eloquence there will be something that we can live with and hope with all my heart that he really believes the stuff he spouts and that he really wants to make things better. UGH UGH UGH!! Having a hard time with this one. But I do get 4 yrs to find out, now don't I.

Anyway just kinda feeling like crap today. And yes I know that for the rest of you it is tomorrow but for me it is still today. LOL But when the sun comes up it will be a new day and this one will be better! hehe

10 on Tuesday Week of Oct. 29th - Nov 4th

1. Wednesday night I went our RS Enrichment night. We have a new and awesome girl on our committee that is crafty and has been offering us the best crafts to do. I loved it! I sometimes feel like I am distended from the ward. Being in primary you kinda live in your own little world at the end of the hall. So not only were the crafts great, and I got several of my Christmas gifts made but I also had a super fabulous time with friends from my ward. And I can't not mention that I was the crazy one that ordered multiple items (for gifts) and I had several people help me to finish mine up. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my ward. I am so thankful for the friends that I have out here that make my life enriched!

2. Jaden didn't have Young Men's this week so he went with Jesse and his old troop to work on his swimming merit badge. He did all of it in one night. He came home sooooo tired. But he was also so proud of himself and had a ton of fun too.
3. We had a Halloween party at my moms the Sunday before Halloween, the kids had a blast of course. She makes every holiday so much fun! The highlight... the kids and the dads chasing the baby calf from my moms field over to ours. We had him separated from the mom so that we could uhm.. well change him from a bull to a steer. Know what I mean? hehe And the kids were all out there in full costumes chasing him down the road. Nikki (my friend) drove by just as we were doing this and I think she had her laugh for the year. LOL

4. I did the Halloween Party in Garyn's class. Which was so much fun. I love Kindergarten and Pre-K aged kids. They are so cute. I had arranged for 4 stations and had a couple other great moms that came and helped. It worked out great and I felt really prepared and organized for it this yr. I guess I am starting to learn something.... takes me a while this is my 3rd child to do parties for in school. LOL

5. I helped with the Party in Samantha's class too. I brought 2 of my games for her class and some bags for the kids to decorate. It was fun to be able to just show up with my games and not have to organize it. Lucky Nikki gets to be Head Room Mom for her class. It is Samantha's teachers 1st yr teaching and she seemed to be really taken with the support from the mom's it is great to be able to help. She has been such a great teacher so far. I think she Samantha has connected more with here than any other teacher before. Partly because they are both a little shy.

6. I didn't get to help in Jaden's class because his party was the same time as Samantha's so I send him with his class treat (eyeball woopie cushions) and then I ran back and forth between the classes a few times to get pictures. His friend had the funnest costume he was a Mummy holding himself as a baby.

Later at our Trunk of Treat at the Church Jaden won funniest costume, and his friend (the I love my mummy) won most creative. That was pretty cool since neither of them has ever won before.

7. After school I was picking up the kids and Jaden brought his friend home for a while. They were texting some of the girls from school and decided to go to their trunk or treat too. For extra candy. So I took them back to town for about an hr or so. They thought they were pretty cool to be trunk or treating with Girls. Funny how in 6th grade the girls don't have cooties anymore. hehe

8. Then we did our Trunk of Treat. That was a blast. Jesse hooked up the inverter in the van and had lights strung in the trunk and some pumpkins. So we were all festive to sit there and hand out candy. Will was so cute as he went from car to car he would say "trick or treat" then after they dropped in the candy he would go "oh! Thank You!" like is was the 1st time he had ever seen candy. Garyn was more like just walk up with the bag open and move on to the next. LOL He didn't say a word to anyone. The big kids took off and trick or treated with their friends. We even took Harley with us.. costume and all. hehe Can you even believe I have become one of those crazy dog people with the dressed up dog?

9. After the trunk of treat we went trick or treating to G-ma & G-pa S, and G-ma & G-pa J's so that they could see the kids in costume. They were so tired by the time we got home.

10. And Tuesday I went to get my prescriptions filled for my stupid ear infection and then stopped to look at Halloween shirts and ended up finding the best deals. I am totally a manic when I find a good deal. The t's were $2.25 and the hoodies were $5. So of course I had to get a million of each. LOL I am in so much trouble. Jesse wants to kick my butt and he should really. But they were such a good deal and some of them I can put away for next yr and some were not even Halloween but were just in the clearance section and are totally great hoodies that the kids can wear now and all winter. Yup, I am naughty!

Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!

Here are my little spooks. We had a blast. Totally wore me out and this was one BUSY BUSY week.. enjoy:

Jaden "Fat Clown", Samantha "Rodeo Queen that was trampled by her horse", Will "Dumbo", and Garyn "Bat Man"
